Herceg Novi is situated between mountain Orjen in the north and entrance to the Boka Kotorska on the south, on the north side of Hercegnovski Bay. Georgafical position of Herceg Novi is 42” 27’ north latitude and 18” 38’ east longitude. It was established by the Bosnian king Tvrtko the first in 1382. His successor and nephew Stjepan Vukcic - Kosaca, known as Herceg Stjepan, made it a town, which it was named after. Along with its neighbor Dubrovnik, Herceg Novi became a significant economic, political, and cultural center by the sea. The town is a very popular holiday destination of serbian tourists.

• Njivice Beach:
  A public beach located in Njivice, which is 4 km away from Herceg Novi. The beach covers an area of 21,600 m2 and represents a combination of rocks, sand and concrete. It is known as the beach of hote "RIVIERA". This beach is fully equipped with water, electricity, restrooms, showers, and catering.


• Miriste Beach:
  Miriste valley is between Zanjic valley and Miriste cape. It is the most attractive location of the Herceg Novi Riviera. A public beach located in the Miriste Cove, next to Cape Arza is a combination of concrete and sand, covering an area of 2000 m². The beach rises in grades forming steps separating it from the forest which creates a unique harmony with the sea. Part of the bathing beach is a restaurant where are Montenegrin specialties are offered.


• Zanjic Beach:
  is situated in the Miriste valley, deeply in the dry land of the Lustica peninsula,6 km away from Herceg Novi. The beach is covered with white pebbles. Area of the beach is 5 550 m². It is surrounded by old olive groves and azure sea water. The background of Zanjic is the olive grove where you can find shade, drink wine or enjoy the specialities of Lustica. Nearby, there are the Blue Cave and the Isle of Mamula with an old Austrian fortress. During the summer season, you can take private boats from Herceg Novi to Zanjic (9-13h), on every 10 minutes. Return from Zanjic is from 17h to 20h. Also, from Zanjic you can take a boat to the Blue Cave on every half an hour.


• Kumbor-Kamenri Beaches:
  This part of Herceg Novi Riviera is decorated with numerous small beaches, docks, and small quays with orange, tangerine and olive groves and other Mediterranean vegetation in their background. Beach length is about 3100m, and its capacity is about 6000 people.


• Rose Beach:
  Rose is a fishing settlement with unique architecture, next to the sea and leaning on a hill at the very tip of the Lustica peninsula, facing Igalo. This is one of the most beautiful spots of the Riviera. It's background is a forest with extraordinary specimens of Mediterrenian plants. The beach is rocky, and the sea is deep with sandy and rocky bottom which is a true challenge for divers and underwater fishing lovers. This place used to be a quarantine for the seamen from all over the world. Nowadays the descedants of Portuguese and Spanish sailors can be met here. You can reach Rose both from the sea and land.
